Instructional Designer

We are seeking an innovative Instructional Designer for a contract role to translate existing learning content and create interactive, engaging 3D virtual reality learning experiences.

This role would suit an experienced (2-3yrs) learning professional who is curious minded, keeps abreast of the latest technological innovations in elearning and human experience design and with the ability to translate 2D content (PDFs, classroom content, videos. text etc) into vibrant virtual 3D learning experiences.

The role

You will:

  • Provide sound knowledge of instructional design and digital production skills to take a learning project from concept to delivery;
  • Engage in product development, instructional design and evaluation of Learning and Teaching programs;
  • Design and develop course-ware that applies adult learning principles and meets target audience needs;
  • Contribute towards build of Snobal platform and collaborate with team in progressing development;
  • Be highly digitally literate and with an innate curiosity about the potential impact of virtual reality and other emerging technologies on eLearning;
  • Have a strong knowledge and experience of diverse Learning Management Systems;
  • Desirable technical skills include: Storyline, HTML.

We are initially looking for contract part time (2 days per week) commitment possibly moving to ongoing soon after.
Ideally you will be based in Melbourne, Australia and you will work largely from our offices at The Dream Factory in Footscray, however if you are awesome we will consider remote applications also.
